What more can be said about \u201cThe Sensational Country Blues Wonders!\u201d??\u00a0 <\/span>They are certainly not your \u201crun of the mill\u201d group.\u00a0 <\/span>For starters, they\u2019ve been opening every performance with an obscure Gospel song by Brother Joe May called \u201cWhere Is The Road That Leads Home?\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>They cut their teeth performing country, blues & gospel in Manhattan clubs frequented by aging punk rockers, places like Manitoba\u2019s and Otto\u2019s Shrunken Head.\u00a0 <\/span>They honed their musical skills playing at a local cemetery and also at a concert series in a neighborhood Lumberyard. They have a reputation for playing gigs at unorthodox venues, such as farmers markets, street festivals, local parks , art shows, a motorcycle show, an historic mansion, a chili cookoff and even in Macy\u2019s Dept Store!\u00a0 <\/span>They perform classic country tunes and gritty gospel sounds from the deep South, and raw blues numbers that go back to the greats hailing from Mississippi and Chicago.\u00a0\u00a0In addition to their unique cover songs, they have original tunes like \u201cMy Baby Stabbed Me With a Steak Knife\u201d, \u201cI\u2019m Afraid of Every Goddamn Thing\u201d, and \u201cLove Murders Your Heart\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>They\u2019ve been described as \u201cthe sound of America, starting at the intersection of all it\u2019s best influences!\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n
